The next Redeemed Marriage Retreat will be February 12-15, 2026.
What is it?
The Redeemed Marriage Retreat is an intimate weekend away for couples longing to reconnect with God, with one another, and with the deeper story of their marriage. Hosted by Joseph and Lori Mize at The Refuge in Hot Springs, Arkansas, this retreat creates space to slow down, be known, and be restored. Through teaching, guided reflection, and shared practices, couples are invited to explore healing identity, redeeming intimacy, and walking together in beloved authority. Lodging and all meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch are provided, allowing you to fully rest and engage without distraction. Space is intentionally limited to preserve a safe, personal environment for this sacred work.
Who’s it for?
The Redeemed Marriage Retreat is for married couples; men and women who want to pursue healing together. Due to the design of this event, we don’t recommend solo attendees. What’s included?
Lodging for three nights and all meals (Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch) deliciously and professionally prepared.

What are the lodging accommodations?
The Refuge has ten hotel-room-style bedrooms, each with its own private bath, so you can fully make yourself at home. All linens and towels will be provided, and each room even has a box fan, in case you're one of those folks who need some noise to sleep. Two rooms are handicapped-accessible, so if you are in need of that type of accommodation, please let us know in advance. Each guest room has its own "personality", and guests may choose their rooms on a "first-come, first-served" basis upon arrival at The Refuge.
What will the day look like?
We’ll start each day at breakfast followed by teaching sessions and space to reflect before lunch. After lunch you will have a couple hours to explore the wonderful activities the property has to offer, enjoy quiet space together, visit with other couples, or just enjoy a good nap. Evenings will include further teaching and time to reflect followed by dinner. Each day will conclude with teaching and/or activity. You’ll have the opportunity to visit with new friends around a fire pit or retire to your room together.
What do we need to bring?
Remember your bible, a journal and something to write with. We’ll have extra pens and journals available. Bring comfortable-casual clothes, cold weather wear and shoes appropriate for both indoor and outdoor activities. The property has a mile-long walking trail and a stocked fishing pond that you may want to enjoy! Bring your fishing poles if you'd like to fish.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancellation by Registrant
Full payment is required at the time your reservation is made for this event. Due to the timeframe of this event, payments will be non-refundable. If you are unable to make the event for any reason, we invite you to gift your reservation to a couple who would be blessed by this opportunity.
Cancellation by Revealed Image Ministries
If the Redeemed Marriage Retreat is made impossible by any act of God, war, earthquake, fire, strike, sickness, accident, epidemic, act of government, its agencies or officers, or any other legitimate cause beyond our control, we will cancel the event and refund your full event registration fee to you.
